Welcome to Border Interiors – a Design Consultancy that enables you to realise the space you have always envisaged. Our range of services include Interior Design and Styling as well as Design Services such as Spatial Planning and Kitchen Design, enabling us to provide an all-round approach to each project to deliver liveable, functional spaces for each and every client.
The most important thing we can do for a client is to listen. We aspire to create comfortable yet functional spaces that fulfil our client’s tastes, needs and wants – spaces that you want to spend time in.

Caoimhe Connolly is the owner and lead designer at Border Interiors. It was always her goal to start an Interior Design business, having studied Design in Dublin, qualifying with a B.A Design Degree specialising in Interiors in 2007. Caoimhe worked in a couple of companies and on commercial design projects after graduation before going to New Zealand in 2009 for “a year”. Over six years later she returned with a soon to be fiancé and relocated to Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland where they began a self-build project for their own home.
This led to Caoimhe starting a self-build Instagram page @houseontheborder, documenting ongoing progress, and now as a Mum to two little boys, she feels the time is right to launch an Interior Design business.
While Caoimhe adores Interior Design - the finishes in a space, the colours, materials, details, styling to bringing a room together – she believes that spatial planning to ensure the day-to-day functioning and flow of a space is an integral part to a successful interior scheme. Caoimhe says “Spatial design in a residential setting goes beyond colours, materials and furniture. It’s all about placement and harmony. It carefully considers the movement and flow of people within a space and accommodates for the traffic flow when carrying out day to day tasks to create a harmonious, functional space”. Caoimhe believes this is the bones of good design – everything else comes afterwards. This is why there are two arms to the service offerings at Border Interiors – Design Services and Décor Services. She believes they go hand and hand and one impacts the other. Caoimhe considers elements of spatial planning in all her interior schemes and good spatial planning underpins all her design schemes.
